Pag-iwan sa pinakamahusay sa mga lumikha
Tinanong ni Ilyas ang kanyang mga tao: “Tinatawag ba ninyo si Ba‘l at iniiwan ang pinakamahusay sa mga lumikha, si Allah, ang inyong Panginoon at Panginoon ng inyong mga ninuno?” Itinanggi nila siya. Iniligtas ni Allah ang Kanyang mga taos-pusong lingkod at nag-iwan ng magandang alaala para kay Ilyas sa mga susunod na salinlahi: “Kapayapaan kay Ilyasin.” Sa ibang bahagi, ibinibilang siya sa mga matuwid.
Ipakita ang mga talata (11)
وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٢٣﴾
And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn),
إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٢٤﴾
When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)?
أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًۭا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ ﴿١٢٥﴾
Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators,
ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٢٦﴾
Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ ﴿١٢٧﴾
But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom)
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿١٢٨﴾
Save single-minded slaves of Allah.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿١٢٩﴾
And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation):
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ ﴿١٣٠﴾
Peace be unto Elias!
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿١٣١﴾
Lo! thus do We reward the good.
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٣٢﴾
Lo! he is one of our believing slaves.
وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَإِلْيَاسَ ۖ كُلٌّۭ مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿٨٥﴾
And Zachariah and John and Jesus and Elias. Each one (of them) was of the righteous.
